Above the Timberline by Kathleen Hughes
This is another beautiful quilt from Machine Quilting Today's Upper Midwest Quilt Show last weekend. I thought I'd share more of these quilts with you and some detail shots. I hope you like them.

Kathleen used hand dyed silk and cotton, as well as commercial fabrics to make the raw edge fused applique quilt. She was inspired by alpine meadows in Colorado.

Isn't this a beautiful quilt!? Her quilting is wonderful. She embellished scene with Pebeo fabric paints, art glitter, crystals and beads.

The last quilt I want to show you is A Pocket Full of Paisleys by Lorilynn King. I had seen pictures of this quilt all over the internet but to see it in person was overwhelming. It is simply gorgeous.

Lorilynn says that she 'REALLY' learned her embroidery software creating this quilt and that she digitized everything from start to finish.

She also said that the background was quilted before she began adding the paisleys.
That's about all for me this week. I'm working on Morning Glory flowers for that strip pieced woven nine patch I began earlier this summer. I'm also getting ready to travel to Tucson, AZ to teach for a week in September.
Happy Quilting!
