My 1st Place Ribbon at the AQS Show and Landscape/Animal Quilts from Albuquerque

I won 1st Place! Sunset Sentinel by Cathy Geier
I dropped everything and flew to Albuquerque last weekend to go see my quilt at the show. I can't tell you how thrilled I was about winning the First Place Ribbon in Landscapes! It was amazing. The wonderful AQS people even interviewed me and if I look nice and said sensible things I'll post a link to the video, lol!
 (Otherwise I'll keep it secret!)

The whole rest of this blog is photos from the show. I thought I'd group them by type, these are the landscapes and animal quilts which were juried into the AQS Show in Albuquerque this year.  I hope you like seeing them!

    1. Thanks! There are so many details that you can't capture in a photo. Do you remember the doggy quilt - it had all the excuses from the dogs for their bad behavior written on the fence posts. That one you really need to see in person to appreciate.

Anyway, I'm glad you got to the show. :)
I liked all the 3 dimensional appliques on your Octopus.
